BioAmber is the only company producing bio-succinic acid by fermentation of bio-based raw materials since 2010.
BioAmber offers a portfolio of natural ingredients for personal care, building on its succinic platform, from which succinate esters and bio-based 1,4-butanediol are derived. These applications include solvents (e.g. fragrances diffusers ), glycols, effervescent tablets, emolients, succinamides and surfactants. More specifically, bio-based succinates esters can be used as natural emolients that can be formulated into skin and hair care products, giving a unique feel of silky, powdery, light, dry and non-greasy touch. In hair care formulations, these products provide shine; in color cosmetics, they act as good pigment dispersants.
